Wholesale furniture pricing from a Turkish factory is built per quote, not read from a list. The price you receive for a sofa set or a bed base depends on the model and piece mix, the fabric, the quantity per model and fabric, the packing, the delivery term and how well the order fills a container. Change one of these and the unit price changes with it.
This guide is written by ellda mobilya, a furniture manufacturer in Kayseri, Türkiye, making sofa sets, corner sofas, bed base sets and mattresses since 2010. It explains what moves a factory price, what you can control as a buyer, and how to send an enquiry that gets you a quote you can compare.
Why there is no wholesale furniture price list
Retail stores show one price per product because the product is fixed. A factory quote is different: the same catalogue model can be made in a different fabric, with a different set composition, packed for a truck or for a 40-day sea route, and delivered at the factory gate or at your port. Each of those is a different cost for the manufacturer.
That is why most manufacturers, ellda included, quote per request. Our wholesale page explains the process: you send models, quantities and destination, and we send a quote with price, lead time and shipping terms. A price list without those details would either be padded to cover the worst case or be wrong for most buyers.
What moves the price of a sofa set
Model and piece mix
A "sofa set" is not one product. Most catalogue sets are sold as combinations such as 3+3+1 or 3+2+1, and each piece has its own material and labour cost. A 295 cm sofa uses more frame, foam and fabric than a 220 cm one. In our catalogue the Santos sofa set combines a 295 cm and a 255 cm sofa with an 81 cm armchair, while the Orko sofa set has a 220 cm sofa. Quoting "one set of each" hides that difference; quoting by piece shows it.
Ask for the quote per piece as well as per set. It lets you build the combinations your market buys instead of the ones in the photo.
Fabric and colour
Fabric is one of the largest variable costs in upholstered furniture, and it changes with type (velvet, chenille, bouclé, nubuck-look textiles), with the supplier and with how much the factory buys of it. Two things raise the price beyond the fabric itself:
- Small runs per colour. Cutting and sewing ten sofas in one colour is more efficient than ten sofas in five colours.
- Fabrics outside the factory's current range. Sourcing a specific fabric for your order adds purchasing time and sometimes a minimum fabric quantity.
If you are price-sensitive, ask which fabrics the factory is already working with for the season and choose from those.
Quantity per model and fabric
Volume lowers unit cost when it repeats the same work: same model, same fabric, same piece. A 40-foot container of one model in two colours is cheaper per piece to produce than the same container split across twelve models. Minimum quantities work the same way; at ellda they depend on model and fabric and are stated in the quote.
Mechanisms and features
Swivel armchairs, adjustable headrests, sofa-bed mechanisms and gas-lift storage bases all add parts and assembly time. They are worth it when your market pays for them, but they belong in the price comparison, not in the small print.
What moves the price of bed bases and mattresses
For bed base sets the main drivers are the bed size, the headboard and the storage mechanism. A set for a 180 × 200 cm mattress with a 270 cm wide headboard, like our Chester bed base set, is a different cost from a single 90 × 200 cm base. Upholstery fabric works as it does for sofas.
Mattress prices follow construction (spring system, comfort layers, height and cover) and packing: roll-packed and flat-packed mattresses ship at very different densities. If you plan to sell mattresses in the United States, check the trade remedy first: an antidumping order covers mattresses from Türkiye and was kept in place by the US International Trade Commission in October 2026 (USITC).
Packing, loading and delivery terms
Packing
Export packing for a long sea route costs more than packing for a domestic truck, and it should. Corners, legs and fabric need protection against pressure, humidity and repeated handling. When you compare quotes, compare the packing method too; a cheaper quote with lighter packing can cost more in damage claims.
Container fill
Upholstered furniture fills a container by volume long before it reaches the weight limit, so the freight cost per piece depends on how many pieces fit. A mixed container of sofas, corner sofas, bed bases and mattresses can use the space better than sofas alone; our guide on mixed containers shows how to plan one. Ask the factory for a loading plan with the quote, which ellda shares with export quotes, so you can calculate the landed cost per piece.
Delivery term
The delivery term (Incoterm) decides which costs are inside the price. Under EXW you collect at the factory; under FOB the seller also clears export and loads at the port of shipment; under CIF the seller also pays sea freight and minimum insurance to your port. The official definitions are published by the International Chamber of Commerce. Two quotes on different terms are not comparable until you add the missing costs to the cheaper-looking one.
A checklist for a comparable quote
Send the same brief to every supplier you compare:
| Include | Why it changes the price |
|---|---|
| Model names and pieces per model | Each piece has its own cost |
| Quantity per model and per fabric/colour | Repeat work is cheaper |
| Fabric type or the factory's fabric range | Fabric is a major variable cost |
| Mechanisms or features you need | Parts and assembly time |
| Destination country and port | Packing, documents and freight |
| Preferred delivery term | Which costs sit inside the price |
| Market requirements (labels, fire-safety rules) | Testing or materials may change |
| Target delivery date | Season and production planning |
The quote list lets you add catalogue models with quantities and send them in one request.
How wholesale furniture pricing works at ellda mobilya
We are a manufacturer: every model in our catalogue is made in our 10,500 m² factory in Kayseri Organized Industrial Zone, so the quote comes from the people who plan production, not from a trading layer. There is no online shop and no public price list. Each quote states the price, lead time, minimum quantities and shipping terms for the models, quantities and destination you send, and export quotes come with a loading plan. Sofas, corner sofas, bed bases and mattresses can be combined in one shipment, and our team answers in English, Arabic or Turkish.
If you are comparing suppliers, our list of questions to ask a sofa manufacturer pairs well with the checklist above. When you are ready, send your list through the wholesale enquiry or, for shipments abroad, the export enquiry.
